This next screen allows you to specify helper applications. What's a helper application? Any program can be a helper application. As the name implies, it helps display file types (such as e.g. .mp3 or .mpg) that Mozilla itself cannot display. Basically, it tells Mozilla which program to associate with a file type. You basically do not need this menu, since Mozilla normally asks you which program to use to open a file it does not know. If this should not work for some reason, i.e. you klick on a .mp3 file and Mozilla displays it as text in the browser windows, you can manually specify the program to use here. Klick on the "New Type" button. The next step will show how to do this for an .mp3 file. If you want to reset the file type associations, simply click on the "Reset" button.
